The Red Lion – Llangadog

Our beautiful building has a long and eventful history, as well as, a few secrets…

It is one of the oldest building in the village of Llangadog, having started life as a coaching inn on the Drovers Route. There are secret tunnels that run beneath it and markings found indicate that it was once a safe house for members of the Royalist Party’, as well as, having been use as such for persecuted priests. The masonry that was used to build it, was in it’s previous incarnation, the derelicts mansion of Sir Robert Peel, who was once Prime Minister and the establisher of the London Metropolitan Police Force, which was formed from the corrupt Bow Street Runners.
